Aladdin FSD Receives 12th Man Award
Congratulations to Rich Fitch, Aladdin food service director, presented with the 12th Man Award by the Brebeuf Jesuit School Football team for the second year in a row! The award is voted on by the players and bestowed upon a school employee who participates and supports the team whose home field is in Indianapolis, IN!
A former football player, Rich understands the nutritious needs of athletes. For home games, players receive a “lucky” meal consisting of a hearty baked potato, hand carved turkey on whole wheat, a tossed salad and fruit. For away games, players enjoy a similar boxed lunch meal.
But it doesn’t stop there. When he is able, Rich attends games and even provides a pointer or two. “I was a ‘short’ defensive tackle, so I tell the players to tackle fast and hit them low!” Some of his advice has been well taken. Last year, the team took second in states and even presented Rich with a helmet signed by every player.
Since joining Aladdin in 2015, Rich has made a huge impact doubling the revenue with new action stations including a sushi bar, soup station, but the most popular is the chicken and fries!
